Spectators: 175 (Terracing: 132, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) Alex Gherghe made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 9thth minute of the game Alex Gherghe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stiinta-Univ.'s Denis Ghee was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 14th minute Cazimir Pânzaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marius Bălașa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th match minute, Juventus Țiu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Uzuneanu to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 22 minutes, Cazimir Pânzaru managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stiinta-Univ.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Cazimir Pânzaru was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manuel Aluncai could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Marius Bălașa made a huge save. Marcel Bărcăuan hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Manuel Aluncai recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marius Bălașa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cazimir Pânzaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. If Horaţiu Corduneanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Horaţiu Corduneanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Marius Bălașa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Marius Bălașa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Horaţiu Corduneanu's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. Marius Bălașa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cazimir Pânzaru in the 53rd minute of play. Marius Bălașa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horaţiu Corduneanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th match minute, Juventus Țiu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudiu Tăutu to maneuver through the defense. Marcel Bărcăuan's late challenge caught a Juventus Țiu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcel Bărcăuan helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Juventus Țiu booed when Stiinta-Univ. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcel Bărcăuan didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Alex Gherghe took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Denis Ghee to make any attempt to save it. In the 68th minute, Stiinta-Univ.'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Horia Corbu fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Horaţiu Corduneanu in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marius Bălașa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Horaţiu Corduneanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cazimir Pânzaru scored 2-2 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marius Bălașa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 84th match minute, Stiinta-Univ. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cazimir Pânzaru to maneuver through the defense. If Cazimir Pânzaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stiinta-Univ.'s Manuel Aluncai got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stiinta-Univ. were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
