After a rather tough play, lyptus's Kenneth Pejstrup got a free kick in the 18th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Helmuth Mannsmeier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Holmkjar Hotspurs's supporters rose to their feet, but Helmuth Mannsmeier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sigfried Solbirk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alf Toelhøj during the 31st minute. In the 41st minute there was a penalty for Holmkjar Hotspurs. Helmuth Mannsmeier stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Sigfried Solbirk. 0-2. In the 44th match minute, Holmkjar Hotspurs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kalle Bjarkmann to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 47 minutes, Hilbert Præstbrogaard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. lyptus's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hilbert Præstbrogaard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hilbert Præstbrogaard was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Kenneth Pejstrup hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Holmkjar Hotspurs would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
