In the 35th minute, Michael Kellaway sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Günter Wienhold didn't even have to move. In the 45th minute Hayden Starr shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Günter Wienhold saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Samuel Schweiger kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Günter Wienhold made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Freddy Tindale sent off a good shot on target. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Günter Wienhold played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hayden Starr in the 57th minute of play. Hayden Starr fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Günter Wienhold having to interfere. Dave Fleming received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Günter Wienhold tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Günter Wienhold stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hayden Starr's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Fritz Nettig was substituted for Gunther Trendelenburg.
