Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Damiano Pagliarini's late challenge caught a Weltevedren's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Damiano Pagliarini helped the player get up and apologised. After 71 played minutes Cacciola got a freekick which was hit by Damiano Pagliarini. After a defensive mix-up in Weltevedren's zone, Amos Verna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Biagio Scatena came out of the goal and Amos Verna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Biagio Scatena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvaro Carrea in the 85th minute of play. Weltevedren succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Cacciola had controlled the match.
