The AC Milan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Panos Kamarinakis should have stopped the shot. 13 minutes into the match, AC Milan's goal looked a bit too open when Franco Galdi came free, but Panos Kamarinakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pär Atov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Panos Tachtsidis went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After having played for 23 minutes, Didi Vendetta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Infami di Canaus's supporters crossed their fingers, but Didi Vendetta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dino De Gregorio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Panos Kamarinakis having to interfere. The supporters of Infami di Canaus booed when AC Milan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Loukianos Zacharopoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th minute, Franco Galdi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Panos Kamarinakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franco Galdi in the 48th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Panos Tachtsidis to make the kick off. Pär Atov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zisis Batsinilas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Dino De Gregorio came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Infami di Canaus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dino De Gregorio couldn't finish the play. Kobe Muto struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. The AC Milan fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Through an outstanding action, after 90 minutes, Panos Kamarinakis successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.
