The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Unione Sportiva's Seleykos Manoukarakis got a free kick in the 6th minute. Aurelio Marchegiani made an important save on a dangerous shot by Poias Nikolakopoulos in the 8th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Unione Sportiva's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Valerio came free, but Seleykos Sklavenitis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Akis Kaglantge got free with Aurelio Marchegiani in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 20th match minute, Unione Sportiva was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Odysseas Rousses to maneuver through the defense. Seleykos Sklavenitis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Valente in the 22nd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Augusto Valente's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Seleykos Sklavenitis was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Fedele Varglien kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Seleykos Sklavenitis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Valente in the 27th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Unione Sportiva's goal looked a bit too open when Fedele Varglien came free, but Seleykos Sklavenitis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Poias Nikolakopoulos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Aurelio Marchegiani made a huge save. Amerigo Caneva took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Seleykos Sklavenitis. Seleykos Sklavenitis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 39th minute Augusto Valente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Seleykos Sklavenitis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Unione Sportiva's Iakchos Hagias got a free kick in the 39th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Unione Sportiva's zone, Diego Valerio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Seleykos Sklavenitis came out of the goal and Diego Valerio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amerigo Caneva kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Augusto Valente to strike the kick off in the second half. Augusto Valente struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Seleykos Sklavenitis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maritek FC. Seleykos Sklavenitis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fedele Varglien, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Seleykos Manoukarakis kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Gylippus Xydis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aurelio Marchegiani was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diego Valerio got free with Seleykos Sklavenitis in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Diego Valerio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Seleykos Sklavenitis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Augusto Valente got free with Seleykos Sklavenitis in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 67th minute, Apsyrtos Papadelias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aurelio Marchegiani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Poias Nikolakopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Maritek FC booed when Unione Sportiva was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iakchos Hagias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Augusto Valente's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Seleykos Sklavenitis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Charalambos Christou's late challenge caught a Maritek FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Charalambos Christou helped the player get up and apologised. Poias Nikolakopoulos scored 2-1 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aurelio Marchegiani, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Unione Sportiva's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
