The audience was convinced that Riccardo Polack's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Martial Laude was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. The supporters of BRAL VAL booed when Les diables noirs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kamel Cussac didn't get a good kick on the ball. 14 minutes into the match, BRAL VAL's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Carrière came free, but Alex Pavia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martial Laude didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Riccardo Polack went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. With 22 minutes on the clock, Fausto Piattelli commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Les diables noirs's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mario Vauzelle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Oscar Carrière stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Les diables noirs's Sam Bertholet slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alex Pavia. That made the score 1-1 after 52 minutes of play. When Ferdinando Frabetti came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the BRAL VAL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ferdinando Frabetti couldn't finish the play. Cristoforo Cinque sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60th match minute, BRAL VAL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Corrado Colucci to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th minute, Sam Bertholet ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alex Pavia was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The supporters of Les diables noirs booed when BRAL VAL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristoforo Cinque didn't get a good kick on the ball. Les diables noirs's Martial Laude played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferdinando Frabetti in the 75th minute of play. Martial Laude stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Riccardo Polack's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Martial Laude showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Riccardo Polack, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Les diables noirs's Martial Laude played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristoforo Cinque in the 82nd minute of play. Martial Laude stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Riccardo Polack's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. The corner led BRAL VAL's Riccardo Polack to fire away a dangerous shot which Martial Laude despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 90th minute, Cristoforo Cinque made a precise shot to the right of Martial Laude. Les diables noirs's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
