Spectators: 161 (Terracing: 121, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Concetto Betti kicked off to start the match. Enrico Faccio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Aversa's Alessandro Domenghini got a free kick in the 7th minute. Aversa's Dave Bassani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amedeo Fontanive in the 8th minute of play. Franco Mariano hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Enrico Faccio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Aurelio Epifani made a huge save. In the 14th minute, Francesco Tabacco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dave Bassani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amedeo Fontanive, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute, Camillo Bocchi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dave Bassani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amedeo Fontanive in the 23rd minute of play. Fedele Nardi hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alessio Troiani in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aurelio Epifani saved Gladiator FC from getting behind. After 31 minutes Gladiator FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Concetto Betti who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Aversa's corner Concetto Betti fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Aurelio Epifani quite easily take care of the ball. In the 33rd minute Arrigo Addari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dave Bassani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Aversa's goal looked a bit too open when Arrigo Addari came free, but Dave Bassani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Aversa booed when Gladiator FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donato Barone didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aversa's Alessio Troiani got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Amedeo Fontanive made a kick off. The supporters of Gladiator FC booed when Aversa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alessio Galliani didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aurelio Epifani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alessio Troiani, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Franco Mariano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gladiator FC's Enrico Gelsomini was substituted for Francesco Tabacco. Enrico Gelsomini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Concetto Betti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Aversa getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Alessandro Domenghini hit a great ball. Arrigo Addari struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Dave Bassani didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gladiator FC.
