Spectators: 175 (Terracing: 132, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Notis Trontzos took the kick off in the first half of the match. Dimitris Koudas kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Aurelio Prisco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustratios Vertsotis having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Panos Papathomas got free with Antonello Chiola in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Antonello Chiola stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dimitris Koudas's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Stefano in the 14th minute of play forced Olympiacos FC's goalkeeper Eustratios Vertsotis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eustratios Vertsotis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adriano Mazzola in the 22nd minute of the match. Panos Papathomas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Antonello Chiola came out and tried to block the shot, but Panos Papathomas slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 25th minute. In the 27th match minute, Olympiacos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Panos Loukas to maneuver through the defense. 31 minutes into the game, Panos Loukas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Olympiacos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave G.S. Prisma Fiorenzuola the free kick. After a rather tough play, Olympiacos FC's Panos Loukas got a free kick in the 31st minute. When G.S. Prisma Fiorenzuola's Alfredo Stefano in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of G.S. Prisma Fiorenzuola booed when Olympiacos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Panos Papathomas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Olympiacos FC's Eustratios Vertsotis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adriano Mazzola in the 38th minute of play. After 41 played minutes, G.S. Prisma Fiorenzuola's Ciro Fata shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eustratios Vertsotis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in G.S. Prisma Fiorenzuola reached it. Antonello Chiola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dimitris Koudas in the 44th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Olympiacos FC made a substitution. Miltiadis Tsiranidis replaced Lazaros Tsakrilis. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adriano Mazzola was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, G.S. Prisma Fiorenzuola's Ferruccio Persichetti got a free kick in the 52nd minute. The supporters of Olympiacos FC booed when G.S. Prisma Fiorenzuola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Fata didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eustratios Vertsotis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurelio Prisco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Edmondo Bevilacqua fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored G.S. Prisma Fiorenzuola's protests and gave Edmondo Bevilacqua a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to G.S. Prisma Fiorenzuola getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Edmondo Bevilacqua hit a great ball. In the 65th match minute, G.S. Prisma Fiorenzuola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmondo Bevilacqua to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Olympiacos FC's Eustratios Vertsotis got control of the ball when Adriano Mazzola tried to sneak it across the goal line. Olympiacos FC's Dimitris Koudas got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 75 played minutes Olympiacos FC got a freekick which was hit by Panos Loukas. 77 minutes into the game, Ferruccio Persichetti recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eustratios Vertsotis. Ferruccio Persichetti showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Olympiacos FC's Dimitris Koudas got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alfredo Stefano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustratios Vertsotis having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Ciro Fata hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
