Spectators: 205 (Terracing: 154, Seating: 47, VIP seats: 4) Sakis Tzorvas started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Real Sociedad's goalkeeper Marco Ginola, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Saronida FC's Simos Zacharenios proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Saronida FC from getting a goal against them. Marco Ginola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sakis Tzorvas, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 17th minute Saronida FC were awarded a corner. Kyriakos Stratakos went to the cornerflag to take it. Saronida FC's Achilleas Mamalis was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marco Ginola in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a little luck, Saronida FC's Simos Zacharenios got control of the ball when Gaël Moutard tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 25th minute Charis Kastanakos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Ginola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antonis Vrazilianos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Marco Ginola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marco Ginola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sakis Tzorvas, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Marco Ginola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sakis Tzorvas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

After 54 minutes of play, Real Sociedad's Gaël Moutard made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Simos Zacharenios was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 57th minute, Gaël Moutard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Saronida FC's Vlassis Tavoularis was substituted for Anastasios Zotalis. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicolas Hoareau during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With an all-out effort, Saronida FC's Marco Ginola threw himself towards the right post 65 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Antonis Vrazilianos, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. François Vieu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simos Zacharenios having to interfere. In the 73rd minute Gaël Moutard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simos Zacharenios saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Simos Zacharenios showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaël Moutard in the 74th minute of the match. 78 minutes in the game Stathis Diamantidis did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Antonis Vrazilianos. Sakis Tzorvas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 83rd minute Gaël Moutard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simos Zacharenios saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dimitris Koubouris struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Marco Ginola didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saronida FC. After some careless play in the Real Sociedad defense, Dimitris Koubouris kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marco Ginola. The Real Sociedad fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marco Ginola should have stopped the shot. After 92 minutes of play, Real Sociedad's Gaël Moutard made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Simos Zacharenios was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 94 minutes, François Vieu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Real Sociedad and the Saronida FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 94th minute, François Vieu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 96th minute, Real Sociedad's Hervé Couturier seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Hervé Couturier the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Real Sociedad protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Hervé Couturier had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 96 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Real Sociedad! Real Sociedad:s Marco Ginola showed great skill when he stopped Sakis Tzorvas:s penalty. Saronida FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
