The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Perico Caminero during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 6th match minute, Club Deportivo O IRIXO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Perico Caminero to maneuver through the defense. Rosario Parrales made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aimar Santander in the 7th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, HORTALEZA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ion De la Rosa came free, but Alexander Yeste reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alexander Yeste made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julen Solera in the 14th minute of play. After 14 minutes, Nacho Companys mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the HORTALEZA FC and the Club Deportivo O IRIXO players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to HORTALEZA FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Nacho Companys hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute, Nacho Companys hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Ion De la Rosa sped through HORTALEZA FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alexander Yeste. After a defensive mix-up in HORTALEZA FC's zone, Ion De la Rosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexander Yeste came out of the goal and Ion De la Rosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Rosario Parrales managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when HORTALEZA FC's Carlos Armada fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Tancredo Buendia took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rosario Parrales. Club Deportivo O IRIXO's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrei Gil in the 37th minute of play forced HORTALEZA FC's goalkeeper Alexander Yeste to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Club Deportivo O IRIXO's Rosario Parrales proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Club Deportivo O IRIXO from getting a goal against them. Rosario Parrales stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vladimir March's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. After a rather tough play, Club Deportivo O IRIXO's Hitzeder Palomar got a free kick in the 46th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Vladimir March made the kick off in the second half. When Andrés-Fernando Gonzalvez came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Club Deportivo O IRIXO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrés-Fernando Gonzalvez couldn't finish the play. 56 minutes into the match, HORTALEZA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ion De la Rosa came free, but Alexander Yeste reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alexander Yeste didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Andrei Gil went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Ritchie Negro was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 62 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in HORTALEZA FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 61st minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 64 minutes, Club Deportivo O IRIXO's Pello Cameno got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Alexander Yeste. In the 72nd minute, Hitzeder Palomar made a precise shot to the right of Alexander Yeste. HORTALEZA FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Xan Casillas kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. If Vladimir March had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Xan Casillas scored 0-6 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alexander Yeste, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 87th match minute, HORTALEZA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Normando Rosario to maneuver through the defense. In the 89th minute, Ion De la Rosa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alexander Yeste was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. In the 92nd minute, Xan Casillas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rosario Parrales took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vladimir March, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 97th minute Ion De la Rosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Yeste saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The HORTALEZA FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Club Deportivo O IRIXO's performance. The match ended with a win for Club Deportivo O IRIXO.
