Spectators: 153 (Terracing: 115, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Duško Turnšek started the match with the kick off. After 3 played minutes FC Kopeto got a freekick which was hit by Silvestr Koukal. In the 5th match minute, HIT Gorica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richard Koštomaj to maneuver through the defense. In the 7th minute, Ervin Žak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jakub Dominik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Duško Turnšek in the 12th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Duško Turnšek in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jakub Dominik prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Duško Turnšek's late challenge caught a FC Kopeto's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Duško Turnšek helped the player get up and apologised. Duško Turnšek hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Duško Turnšek was shown his second yellow card after 25 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Duško Turnšek kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 28th minute, Goražd Djordjević got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Goražd Djordjević sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jakub Dominik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Istok Šabotić in the 34th minute of the match. 43 minutes into the match, FC Kopeto's goal looked a bit too open when Istok Šabotić came free, but Jakub Dominik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Goražd Djordjević came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the HIT Gorica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Goražd Djordjević couldn't finish the play. FC Kopeto's František Žiga was substituted for Václav Plášil. FC Kopeto made a substitution. Slávek Tošovský replaced Jurij Švajda. In the 48th match minute, FC Kopeto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Václav Plášil to maneuver through the defense. Goražd Djordjević fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jakub Dominik having to interfere. After the first half HIT Gorica were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The supporters of FC Kopeto booed when HIT Gorica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anis Doberšek didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Hanuš Holan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zlatko Goričan charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zlatko Goričan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 63 played minutes HIT Gorica got a freekick which was hit by Zlatko Goričan. In the 65th minute Goražd Djordjević shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jakub Dominik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hanuš Holan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lan Šorli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Grozdan Mešić during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Grozdan Mešić hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Hanuš Holan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Lan Šorli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Istok Šabotić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zdeněk Skalník hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Hanuš Holan charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hanuš Holan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. FC Kopeto's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Istok Šabotić was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 93 minutes into the match, Hanuš Holan notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of HIT Gorica's Lan Šorli. Lan Šorli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the final whistle sounded HIT Gorica left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Kopeto.
