Spectators: 150 (Terracing: 113, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Michel van Zwam took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 7th minute of the match Henk Pieters sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jim Luirink skillfully saved the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luuk Harmannus during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 10th minute, Luuk Harmannus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 14 minutes, Douwe Theuws mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ascoli Picchio F.C. and the Julias Rascals Apeldoorn players grew even worse after the yellow card. Douwe Theuws kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. If Roelof van Kampen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rien Bakker, 23 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 29thth minute of the game Santiago Kuijt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ascoli Picchio F.C.'s Jim Luirink was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Santiago Kuijt scored 0-2 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jim Luirink, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 46th match minute, Ascoli Picchio F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emiel Valx to maneuver through the defense. Rien Bakker shot a long shot in the 47th minute and a light blocked Jim Luirink hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Santiago Kuijt made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Rien Bakker sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jim Luirink narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Santiago Kuijt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jim Luirink having to interfere. Taco Zwartkruis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ger Stekelenburg in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 64thth minute of the game Michel van Zwam who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Taco Zwartkruis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 68th minute, Ascoli Picchio F.C.'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rien Bakker fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 68 minutes, Santiago Kuijt made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Ascoli Picchio F.C.'s Jim Luirink tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Rik Meijs hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's zone, Ger Stekelenburg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Taco Zwartkruis came out of the goal and Ger Stekelenburg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Michel van Zwam came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Ascoli Picchio F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michel van Zwam couldn't finish the play. Taco Zwartkruis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michel van Zwam in the 78th minute of play. Edward Waterman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hub Bodde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Taco Zwartkruis came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Ascoli Picchio F.C.'s Michel van Zwam. But to his dismay, Michel van Zwam quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Michel van Zwam in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Taco Zwartkruis saved Julias Rascals Apeldoorn from getting behind. In the 89thth minute of the game Santiago Kuijt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ascoli Picchio F.C.'s Jim Luirink was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ger Stekelenburg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Taco Zwartkruis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Roelof van Kampen reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jim Luirink. The goal made the score 1-6.
