Orlando Salles started the match with the kick off. A collision led to União Barbarense getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Flávio Félix hit a great ball. Altair FC's Nilson Quaresma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Salles in the 7th minute of play. Osmar Braga didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bernardo Moura went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. When Paulo Renato Jacinto fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. If Orlando Salles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th match minute, Altair FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Délio Velloso to maneuver through the defense. União Barbarense's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 60th minute of the game, when Charles do Vale after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Altair FC's goal. Charles do Vale was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. The supporters of Altair FC booed when União Barbarense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Salles didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Vidal in the 64th minute of play forced União Barbarense's goalkeeper Osmar Braga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eriberto Corrêa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nilson Quaresma came out and tried to block the shot, but Eriberto Corrêa slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 66th minute. In the 71st minute, Marcus Vidal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Osmar Braga was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. In the 75th minute Diego Tinoco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilson Quaresma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nilson Quaresma didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eriberto Corrêa went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. 84 minutes into the match, Altair FC's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Salles came free, but Nilson Quaresma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benê Lara hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Flávio Félix kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Osmar Braga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Renato Jacinto in the 92nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Altair FC defense, Eriberto Corrêa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nilson Quaresma. The Altair FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nilson Quaresma should have stopped the shot. União Barbarense's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
