The referee showed Edgard Senna the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 11th match minute, Barbie Doll United U23 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgard Senna to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barbie Doll United U23's goalkeeper Frederico de Salles, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alan Gaúcho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jarbas Martins kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. When Jarbas Martins fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barbie Doll United U23's protests and gave Jarbas Martins a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Barbie Doll United U23 getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Jarbas Martins hit a great ball. The audience held their breath when Henrique Marinho in the 23rd minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Frederico de Salles's left hand side. Leonardo Cordeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Frederico de Salles made a huge save. Edmílson de Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alan Gaúcho in the 30th minute of play. Zé Carlos de Lara lost his temper 31 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 32 played minutes Florão da América got a freekick which was hit by Zé Carlos de Lara. Rui do Nascimento took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Edmílson de Lara. Florão da América's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 39th match minute, Barbie Doll United U23 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgard Senna to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Florão da América getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Ronaldo Velasco hit a great ball. After 45 played minutes Florão da América got a freekick which was hit by Henrique Marinho. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Rui do Nascimento's late challenge caught a Florão da América's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rui do Nascimento helped the player get up and apologised. In the 51st match minute, Barbie Doll United U23 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rui do Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aleksi Lehmann in the 54th minute of play forced Barbie Doll United U23's goalkeeper Frederico de Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frederico de Salles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonardo Cordeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Marcel Severo's late challenge caught a Florão da América's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcel Severo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Florão da América booed when Barbie Doll United U23 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcel Severo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Aleksi Lehmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Florão da América's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
