In the 6th minute Habib Ali Picavea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Almir Salles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mario Balotelli in the 7th minute of play forced Morro Grande E.C's goalkeeper Gláuber Brodel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcos Ramalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Almir Salles having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Habib Ali Picavea in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Almir Salles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Morro Grande E.C's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Toninho Grau in the 13th minute. In the 15th match minute, Morro Grande E.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toninho Caca-Rato to maneuver through the defense. 24 minutes into the match, Hélder Velasco notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of México Eterno MZC's Almir Salles. Almir Salles was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Almir Salles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kaká Sampaio, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Almir Salles didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Habib Ali Picavea went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 41st minute Ronaldinho Meira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Almir Salles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Almir Salles came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Morro Grande E.C's Hélder Velasco. But to his dismay, Hélder Velasco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3.

After 51 played minutes Morro Grande E.C got a freekick which was hit by Christiano Trevisan. The supporters of Morro Grande E.C booed when México Eterno MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Paulo de Toledo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute, Toninho Grau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Almir Salles made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Ronaldinho Meira sent off a good shot on target. Almir do Vale struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Gláuber Brodel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for México Eterno MZC. After 72 played minutes México Eterno MZC got a freekick which was hit by Mario Balotelli. Morro Grande E.C's Toninho Soeiro was substituted for Kaká Sampaio. In the 74th match minute, México Eterno MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mario Balotelli to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gonçalo Alagoano during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 77th minute, one of México Eterno MZC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for México Eterno MZC. 84 minutes into the match, Morro Grande E.C's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Balotelli came free, but Gláuber Brodel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Almir Salles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldinho Meira in the 85th minute of play. Hélder Velasco took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Almir Salles. Almir Salles dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldinho Meira in the 92nd minute of play forced México Eterno MZC's goalkeeper Almir Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee showed Dino Hermes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
