Ramiro Saraiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorian Arósio in the 3rd minute of the match. Renan Trevisan hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. With 5 minutes on the clock, Guga Terra commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 4th minute, one of Edson Futebol Clube:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Edson Futebol Clube. José Vítor Duarte might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ramiro Saraiva. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Vítor Duarte ran back to his position shaking his head. Edson Futebol Clube's Ramiro Saraiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudinei Palmeira in the 13th minute of play. Hernani Matos hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 20th match minute, Edson Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Pedro Garcia to maneuver through the defense. Ramiro Saraiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorian Arósio in the 24th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Dorian Arósio put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ramiro Saraiva. In the 30th minute Jean Torres suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Zé Pedro Garcia fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Edson Futebol Clube's protests and gave Zé Pedro Garcia a yellow card for diving instead. Izaltina FAD made a substitution. Rui Moreira replaced Jean Torres. After a rather tough play, Edson Futebol Clube's Zé Pedro Garcia got a free kick in the 31st minute. Edson Futebol Clube's Ramiro Saraiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorian Arósio in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34th match minute, Izaltina FAD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorian Dante to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorian Arósio in the 37th minute of play forced Edson Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Ramiro Saraiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Claudinei Palmeira came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Izaltina FAD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudinei Palmeira couldn't finish the play. Oscar de Godoi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Christiano Tavares hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dorian Arósio was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes Cláudio Antunes rounded Izaltina FAD's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-1. Edson Futebol Clube's Ramiro Saraiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christiano Tavares in the 55th minute of play. Dorian Arósio took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ramiro Saraiva. Ramiro Saraiva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorian Arósio in the 62nd minute of play forced Edson Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Ramiro Saraiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute, Dorian Arósio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Izaltina FAD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Cláudio Antunes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Tony da Mata made a huge save. 66 minutes into the game, Claudinei Palmeira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Izaltina FAD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Edson Futebol Clube the free kick. The supporters of Edson Futebol Clube booed when Izaltina FAD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinei Palmeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Izaltina FAD's Carlos Eduardo Leal got a free kick in the 73rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Cássio Severo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Edson Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Cássio Severo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tony da Mata breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dorian Arósio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramiro Saraiva having to interfere. When Claudinei Palmeira came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Izaltina FAD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudinei Palmeira couldn't finish the play. In the 82nd minute Christiano Tavares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramiro Saraiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 84 played minutes Edson Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Cássio Severo. José Vítor Duarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Ramiro Saraiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Dorian Arósio made a precise shot to the right of Ramiro Saraiva. Edson Futebol Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. Tony da Mata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cláudio Antunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
