Marco Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kaká Leal in the 15th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in SE Palestra Itália's zone, Gilmar Netto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Pimenta came out of the goal and Gilmar Netto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Armandinho Mandrak hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Marco Marquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kaká Leal, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Marco Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kaká Leal in the 22nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mathias Berger got free with Jorge Pimenta in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Juan Britto was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 28 minutes into the match. Juan Britto hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 45th play minute Fiori Arósio came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jorge Pimenta. 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kaká Leal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of SE Palestra Itália booed when Sagarana Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cleiton Freitas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfredo Pinho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Marco Marquez made a huge save. Fiori Arósio scored 4-1 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jorge Pimenta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fiori Arósio took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jorge Pimenta. Jorge Pimenta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. A collision led to Sagarana Clube getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Dino Veloso hit a great ball. In the 83rd minute, Fiori Arósio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jorge Pimenta was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-1. Gilmar Netto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Pimenta having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Fiori Arósio made a precise shot to the right of Jorge Pimenta. SE Palestra Itália's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-1. Kaká Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Marquez having to interfere. Sagarana Clube walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
