The supporters of Nautilus booed when Los Bacanas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elivélton Correia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reginaldo Esteves charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Reginaldo Esteves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Los Bacanas FC's Reginaldo Esteves got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 16th minute, Nautilus's José Vítor Trigo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 24 minutes into the match, Basílio Couto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Caco Marques. Nautilus's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Basílio Couto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 32 minutes into the match, Nautilus's goal looked a bit too open when Basílio Couto came free, but Caco Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luiz Fábio Leme was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but José Vítor Trigo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 34 minute of play. Los Bacanas FC's Luiz Fábio Leme proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Los Bacanas FC from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Henrique Passos got free with Luiz Fábio Leme in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. José Vítor Trigo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Célio Dionísio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caco Marques having to interfere. A collision led to Nautilus getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Aílton Gomes hit a great ball. Caco Marques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basílio Couto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute, one of Los Bacanas FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Los Bacanas FC. The referee gave Nautilus a penalty, 62 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Sandrinho Valadares, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Los Bacanas FC's Luiz Fábio Leme. 4-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrique Passos in the 66th minute of play forced Los Bacanas FC's goalkeeper Luiz Fábio Leme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Fábio Leme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Vítor Trigo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 67 played minutes Los Bacanas FC got a freekick which was hit by Célio Dionísio. Nilson Massa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caco Marques having to interfere. 89 minutes into the game, Nautilus's Sandrinho Valadares nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luiz Fábio Leme made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-2. When Aílton Gomes fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nautilus's protests and gave Aílton Gomes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 95th minute, Aílton Gomes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Los Bacanas FC's Luiz Fábio Leme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henrique Passos in the 98th minute of play. Nautilus walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
