The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sidnei Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Paranaense, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Elano Miranda hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Sérgio de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Salgado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. BMB IMOVEIS SC's Sérgio de Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodriguinho Salgado in the 10th minute of play. After 19th play minutes Moisés de Lara shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Sidnei Mendonça and just under the crossbar into goal. Rodriguinho Salgado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Sérgio de Azevedo made a huge save. After 32 minutes of play, BMB IMOVEIS SC's Emanuel Paranaense made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sidnei Mendonça was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 41 minutes, Emanuel Paranaense mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BMB IMOVEIS SC and the Lencois players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 41st match minute, BMB IMOVEIS SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Paranaense to maneuver through the defense. Sidnei Mendonça took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulisses Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emanuel Paranaense was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to BMB IMOVEIS SC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Emanuel Paranaense hit a great ball. After 59 played minutes Lencois got a freekick which was hit by Rodriguinho Salgado. 64 minutes into the game, Moisés de Lara cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Sidnei Mendonça was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugênio Barbosa in the 67th minute of play forced BMB IMOVEIS SC's goalkeeper Sérgio de Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sérgio de Azevedo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. Sidnei Mendonça didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benjamin Custódio went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-5 was the resulting score. Sérgio de Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodriguinho Salgado in the 90th minute of play. After 95 played minutes BMB IMOVEIS SC got a freekick which was hit by Ulisses Lara. The BMB IMOVEIS SC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
