The supporters of Caatiba MZC booed when Paris San Duíche was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Deivid Machado didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Paris San Duíche's Elano Berger slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gabriel Veloso. That made the score 1-0 after 30 minutes of play. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Elano Berger sped through Caatiba MZC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gabriel Veloso. After 38 played minutes Elano Berger rounded Caatiba MZC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-0. Thiago Batista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrianinho Ortiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eusébio Matorin to make the kick off. Gabriel Veloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nuno de Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
