Spectators: 153 (Terracing: 115, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Carlos Simão kicked off to start the match. Pirajiba's Basílio Cosme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Simão in the 3rd minute of play. After 4 played minutes Pirajiba got a freekick which was hit by Rodriguinho Alvarenga. Deivid Bueno kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Arnaldo Luz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 12th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Basílio Cosme. Pirajiba's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Bene Animatus's Aníbal Alvarenga got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Basílio Cosme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Simão in the 22nd minute of play. In the 30th minute, Sydney Cearense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 32 minutes, Aníbal Alvarenga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bene Animatus and the Pirajiba players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Pirajiba booed when Bene Animatus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aníbal Alvarenga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ivo Domingues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nelson de Queiroz in the 34th minute of play. Basílio Cosme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Simão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Bene Animatus were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Ivo Domingues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nelson de Queiroz, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Filipe Vides in the 57th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Pirajiba's Rodriguinho Alvarenga. The supporters of Bene Animatus booed when Pirajiba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodriguinho Alvarenga didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute, Jairo Santana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Simão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Basílio Cosme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodriguinho Alvarenga's late challenge caught a Bene Animatus's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rodriguinho Alvarenga helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Pirajiba getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Rodriguinho Alvarenga hit a great ball. Basílio Cosme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Simão in the 74th minute of the match. Sydney Cearense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Aníbal Alvarenga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Basílio Cosme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Simão in the 87th minute of the match. Nilton Trigo hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Ivo Domingues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nelson de Queiroz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Bene Animatus walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
