An unexpectedly hard shot by Leandro Fonseca in the 38th minute of play forced União Verde FC's goalkeeper Bebeto de Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute Marcus Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bebeto de Salles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 46 minutes, Adalberto Albuquerque mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the União Verde FC and the Marquês de Herval players grew even worse after the yellow card.
