But to his dismay, Zé Zanette quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. 30 minutes into the game, Ronaldo Nazário De Lima was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PREZULO FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aurora FC the free kick. Mané Corrêa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ronaldo Nazário De Lima who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Dedé Dante when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, PREZULO FC's Cristóvão Lucas got a free kick in the 34th minute. Virgílio Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hernani Quirino in the 35th minute of the match. Virgílio Marquez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Zanette, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the match, Hernani Quirino notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of PREZULO FC's Virgílio Marquez. Virgílio Marquez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Aurora FC's Juarês Moreno got a free kick in the 40th minute. 43 minutes into the match, Aurora FC's goalkeeper Dedé Dante had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Severino Secco. In the 45th minute, PREZULO FC's César Cruz seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed César Cruz the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of PREZULO FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and César Cruz had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ronaldo Nazário De Lima was the one to do the kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Severino Secco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Aurora FC's Dedé Dante was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 58th minute, Severino Secco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of PREZULO FC booed when Aurora FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horácio Queiroz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Ronaldo Nazário De Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot. PREZULO FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronaldo Nazário De Lima was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dedé Dante breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ronaldo Nazário De Lima in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dedé Dante saved Aurora FC from getting behind. After 75 played minutes Aurora FC got a freekick which was hit by Juarês Moreno. Ronaldo Nazário De Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dedé Dante having to interfere. Ronaldo Nazário De Lima blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dedé Dante having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Severino Secco in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dedé Dante saved Aurora FC from getting behind. Cristóvão Lucas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience was convinced that Ronaldo Nazário De Lima's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dedé Dante was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Dedé Dante stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ronaldo Nazário De Lima's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. PREZULO FC's Ronaldo Nazário De Lima got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dedé Dante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Nazário De Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
