AS Pikachuzim's Pedro Luiz Matorin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nelsinho Marinho in the 7th minute of play. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Palestra do Interior's goalkeeper Fernando Pras, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 24thth minute of the game Nelsinho Marinho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AS Pikachuzim's Pedro Luiz Matorin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pedro Luiz Matorin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ronaldo Pirani's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Palestra do Interior were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after AS Pikachuzim's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Richard Ríos took the corner. Fernando Pras took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denílson Arantes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the match, Palestra do Interior's goal looked a bit too open when Denílson Arantes came free, but Fernando Pras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maurinho Matorin charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maurinho Matorin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee gave AS Pikachuzim a penalty, 50 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rodolfo Pinheiro, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Palestra do Interior's Fernando Pras. 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rodolfo Pinheiro made a kick off. Fernando Pras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo Pinheiro in the 92nd minute of the match. If Dinei Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. AS Pikachuzim were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Palestra do Interior for a fine match.
