In the 4thth minute of the game Thierry Henry who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Planet Caravan's Waldir Peres was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zé Carlos Britto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hudson dos Santos in the 12th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Thierry Henry notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Planet Caravan's Waldir Peres. Waldir Peres was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Zé Carlos Britto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adriano do Nascimento in the 16th minute. The Planet Caravan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Waldir Peres should have stopped the shot. When Hudson dos Santos came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Planet Caravan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hudson dos Santos couldn't finish the play. The Planet Caravan players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Pragmáticos 1903 were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Delfim de Lara to make the kick off. Waldir Peres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delfim de Lara, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. During the 60th minute of the match Eriberto Montenegro completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Eriberto Montenegro a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 60th match minute, Planet Caravan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eriberto Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Planet Caravan booed when Pragmáticos 1903 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delfim de Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Delfim de Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Luís Fabian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Pragmáticos 1903's zone, Adriano do Nascimento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Carlos Britto came out of the goal and Adriano do Nascimento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 83 played minutes Planet Caravan got a freekick which was hit by Luís Fabian. Pragmáticos 1903 made a substitution. Ismael Severo replaced Thierry Henry. If Ismael Severo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Eduardo Alves in the 87th minute of play forced Planet Caravan's goalkeeper Waldir Peres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Pragmáticos 1903 players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
