Spectators: 174 (Terracing: 131, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Maicon de Amorim started the match with the kick off. Edvaldo Costa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Miguel Botelho went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 14 minutes into the match, Jovens Democratas MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Botelho came free, but Edvaldo Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edvaldo Costa came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Villaverde Celeste Clube's Miguel Botelho. But to his dismay, Miguel Botelho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Edvaldo Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Netto in the 18th minute of the match. In the 19th minute Miguel Botelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvaldo Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edvaldo Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaltino Arce in the 20th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sérgio Chaves in the 22nd minute of play forced Villaverde Celeste Clube's goalkeeper Augusto Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zé Augusto Tinoco lost his temper 24 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The supporters of Villaverde Celeste Clube booed when Jovens Democratas MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. The wind increased when Miguel Botelho made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isaltino Arce in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edvaldo Costa saved Jovens Democratas MZC from getting behind. Augusto Fernandez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilian Antunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. 58 minutes into the game, Villaverde Celeste Clube's Miguel Botelho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edvaldo Costa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Augusto Fernandez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdemar Guerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 88th minute, Mané Garrincha reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Edvaldo Costa. The goal made the score 0-6. 90 minutes into the match, Jovens Democratas MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Isaltino Arce came free, but Edvaldo Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Jovens Democratas MZC booed when Villaverde Celeste Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesinha Dias didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Villaverde Celeste Clube supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Villaverde Celeste Clube would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
