The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd match minute, Rondinone F.C - FDFDF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chicão Matos to maneuver through the defense. Imbituba - FSCMZ were awarded a corner in the 5th minute after Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jailson Alves took the corner. Imbituba - FSCMZ's Ivo Ramalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nilson Paraibano in the 8th minute of play. Júnior Mattos kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Rômulo de Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristóvão Linares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristóvão Linares in the 22nd minute of play forced Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's goalkeeper Rômulo de Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th match minute, Imbituba - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuca Camargo to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 31 minutes, Daniel Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Alcântara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 34th minute, Daniel Alcântara ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ivo Ramalho was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. A collision led to Imbituba - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Franklin Tavares hit a great ball. After 42 minutes, Gui Souza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Imbituba - FSCMZ and the Rondinone F.C - FDFDF players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Imbituba - FSCMZ's Gui Souza got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 48th minute Guilherme Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rômulo de Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

After 51 played minutes Imbituba - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Franklin Tavares. Róbson Prata took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 52nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ivo Ramalho. Imbituba - FSCMZ's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Rondinone F.C - FDFDF getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Chicão Matos hit a great ball. After 57 played minutes Rondinone F.C - FDFDF got a freekick which was hit by Fernandinho Sá. After having played for 58 minutes, Jailson Alves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Imbituba - FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jailson Alves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gui Souza hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 63rd match minute, Imbituba - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gui Souza to maneuver through the defense. Ivo Ramalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gil dos Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 72nd minute, Guilherme Souza reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rômulo de Almeida. The goal made the score 1-2. 76 minutes into the match, Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's goalkeeper Rômulo de Almeida had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guilherme Souza. 83 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jailson Alves was slow to take the kick. During this time Imbituba - FSCMZ's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Samuca Camargo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rômulo de Almeida quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Chicão Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Imbituba - FSCMZ walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
