Spectators: 145 (Terracing: 110, Seating: 33, VIP seats: 2) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Gustavo Loren made the kick off which started today's match. Gustavo Loren's late challenge caught a Velez Sarsfield's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gustavo Loren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uriel Raymon having to interfere. Ciro Salvatore could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Uriel Raymon made a huge save. David Cucao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaac Marcones in the 15th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Sergio Caitano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but David Cucao was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. In the 21st minute Ciro Salvatore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uriel Raymon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Velez Sarsfield fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sergio Caitano in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Cucao prevented the ball from getting in the gole. David Cucao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergio Caitano in the 44th minute of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sergio Caitano made a kick off. Isaac Marcones might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over David Cucao. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Isaac Marcones ran back to his position shaking his head. 56 minutes into the match, Ciro Salvatore had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Uriel Raymon. Velez Sarsfield's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ciro Salvatore was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Velez Sarsfield's Uriel Raymon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Placido Tomi in the 75th minute of play. David Cucao showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergio Caitano, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute.
