The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 5 played minutes Deportivo Mukenio got a freekick which was hit by Faustino Ladio. Espeleta AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 11 minutes into the match, Filiberto Gombal notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Espeleta AFC's Paolo Tadzio. Paolo Tadzio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Delmiro Artaldo fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Espeleta AFC's protests and gave Delmiro Artaldo a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Espeleta AFC's Delmiro Artaldo got a free kick in the 16th minute. Filiberto Gombal scored 0-3 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paolo Tadzio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 25 minutes into the match, Espeleta AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Urbano Eguzki came free, but Paolo Tadzio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Filiberto Gombal put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Paolo Tadzio. Paolo Tadzio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Filiberto Gombal went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. In the 40th minute, Cristo Bermudo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Mukenio fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. The Espeleta AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Deportivo Mukenio were winning 0-6.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Filiberto Gombal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 61st minute, Deportivo Mukenio's Filiberto Gombal ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Paolo Tadzio. Paolo Tadzio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-8. Espeleta AFC's Paolo Tadzio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Espeleta AFC from getting a goal against them. Delmiro Artaldo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Espeleta AFC's zone, Urbano Eguzki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paolo Tadzio came out of the goal and Urbano Eguzki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Delmiro Artaldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Deportivo Mukenio booed when Espeleta AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leon Rubio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 83 played minutes Deportivo Mukenio got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Checa. After 91 played minutes Espeleta AFC got a freekick which was hit by Generoso Tello. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Mukenio's zone, Delmiro Artaldo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aquilino Prejun came out of the goal and Delmiro Artaldo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Deportivo Mukenio played a much better game than Espeleta AFC and deserved their victory. The Espeleta AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
