The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Gladiadores's Lucio Montae got a free kick in the 8th minute. Cortez Obispo came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by SOUTH THUNDER's Remigio Ihintza. But to his dismay, Remigio Ihintza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Matan Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Mauro Cordearo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mauricio Baldovino came free with the goalkeeper in the 16th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Mauro Cordearo could save by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Humberto Bixintxo in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cortez Obispo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. SOUTH THUNDER's Mauro Cordearo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save SOUTH THUNDER from getting a goal against them. After having played for 29 minutes, Mauricio Baldovino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gladiadores's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauricio Baldovino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Teobaldo Frutos kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in SOUTH THUNDER's zone, Matan Brito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauro Cordearo came out of the goal and Matan Brito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 33 minutes into the match, SOUTH THUNDER's goalkeeper Mauro Cordearo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mauricio Baldovino. A hard shot 35 in the game by Mauricio Baldovino from a close distance when the talented Mauro Cordearo managed to make a qualified save. SOUTH THUNDER's players were relieved. 37 minutes into the game, Lucio Montae was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gladiadores's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SOUTH THUNDER the free kick. After 37 played minutes Gladiadores got a freekick which was hit by Lucio Montae. SOUTH THUNDER's Remigio Ihintza got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cortez Obispo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franco Mastantuono in the 41st minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Remigio Ihintza made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Gladiadores's Cortez Obispo got control of the ball when Remigio Ihintza tried to sneak it across the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 57 minutes, Cortez Obispo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Humberto Bixintxo in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cortez Obispo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cortez Obispo was a little too slow when Franco Mastantuono got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 64th minute. The score was now 1-2. After having played for 70 minutes, Franco Mastantuono managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SOUTH THUNDER's supporters crossed their fingers, but Franco Mastantuono was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Remigio Ihintza's late challenge caught a Gladiadores's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Remigio Ihintza helped the player get up and apologised. Mauricio Baldovino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro Cordearo having to interfere. SOUTH THUNDER's Mauro Cordearo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauricio Baldovino in the 88th minute of play. The SOUTH THUNDER players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
