The Singlar Club FC fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when Singlar Club FC's Eric Venero looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Generoso Sasoin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Venero in the 14th minute of the match. When Feliciano Baldovino fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Singlar Club FC's protests and gave Feliciano Baldovino a yellow card for diving instead. Singlar Club FC's Zeledon Polentzi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Singlar Club FC from getting a goal against them. Generoso Sasoin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Diegotxe Maradona went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Generoso Sasoin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eric Venero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute, Eric Venero made a precise shot to the right of Generoso Sasoin. Gloria Verdinegra AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Diegotxe Maradona scored 0-6 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Generoso Sasoin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 45 minutes, Benicio Gombal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Singlar Club FC and the Gloria Verdinegra AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 45 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Singlar Club FC! 47 minutes into the match, Aurelio Berto notched a goal, 1-6, to the right of Singlar Club FC's Zeledon Polentzi. Zeledon Polentzi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Singlar Club FC's Edgard Felipillo was substituted for Americo Llorian. After the first half Singlar Club FC were leading 1-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mariano Ezkerra stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 59 minutes Gloria Verdinegra AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cosme Tavio who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Edgard Felipillo managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Generoso Sasoin stood somewhat misplaced when Eric Venero came free in front of goal and shot 1-7 to the left of him in the 65 minute. With his leg Generoso Sasoin managed to avoid a goal in the 69thth minute, when Singlar Club FC's Eric Venero fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The crowd rose to their feet as Singlar Club FC's Eric Venero slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Generoso Sasoin. That made the score 1-8 after 73 minutes of play. A hard shot 78 in the game by Eric Venero from a close distance when the talented Generoso Sasoin managed to make a qualified save. Gloria Verdinegra AFC's players were relieved. Generoso Sasoin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eric Venero in the 82nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roque Kimetz in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Generoso Sasoin saved Gloria Verdinegra AFC from getting behind. Singlar Club FC's Feliciano Baldovino got his second yellow card of the match in the 91st minute. The referee ordered Feliciano Baldovino off the ground. Feliciano Baldovino hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 95th match minute, Gloria Verdinegra AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abelardo Michael to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Singlar Club FC getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Diegotxe Maradona hit a great ball. The Singlar Club FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Singlar Club FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
