The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th minute Hector Gizon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Bilbo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 19 played minutes CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Kelemen. 24 minutes into the game, Severino Oinatz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Teodoro Bilbo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Froilan Isadore's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Hector Jakes firmly grabbed it by the left post. Teobaldo Elia kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE's Hector Jakes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haroldo Erasto in the 37th minute of play. After 37 played minutes CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Berdaitz. Hector Jakes came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by lןןl La Coconeta's Froilan Isadore. But to his dismay, Froilan Isadore quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 42nd minute, Paulo Bittor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd minute, Hector Elia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hector Jakes was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulo Bittor made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Hector Elia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hector Jakes. CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hector Elia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. Hector Jakes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hector Elia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. lןןl La Coconeta's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Melchor Frisco in the 57th minute. Hector Gizon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61st minute, Hector Elia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 63 minutes into the match, Haroldo Erasto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hector Jakes. Hector Jakes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hector Elia, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Hector Jakes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nereo Mincho went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 9-2 was the resulting score. 96 minutes into the match, CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE's goal looked a bit too open when Haroldo Erasto came free, but Hector Jakes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
