With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carolo Lluis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 31 minutes, Luciano Maxin made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. AC Batán's Carolo Lluis tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Carolo Lluis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luciano Maxin, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Serafino Gaueko got free with Carolo Lluis in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Omar Costante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Luciano Maxin made the kick off in the second half. Carolo Lluis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luciano Maxin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to AC Batán getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Nestor Abecia hit a great ball. Delmiro Natanael recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. During the 67th minute of the match Ricardo Llorenc completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ricardo Llorenc a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 67 played minutes Atletico Calamar Saavedra got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Llorenc. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Roque Santa Cruz got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 3-1. 70 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Atletico Calamar Saavedra's zone, Isaac Rojelio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iker Gilen came out of the goal and Isaac Rojelio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 80th minute, Geronimo Beltran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Atletico Calamar Saavedra fully deserved thier win.
