Cleto Erramun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermengildo Lehen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cayetano Gonsalve fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alejo Erdiano having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Arrecifes's Raul Eduino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alejo Erdiano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Arrecifes getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Inocencio Derwin hit a great ball. In the 14th minute Blas Francho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cleto Erramun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Arrecifes's goal looked a bit too open when Eloy Unai came free, but Cleto Erramun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raul Eduino struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Alejo Erdiano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arrecifes. In the 23rd minute, Raul Eduino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th minute, Eloy Unai ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cleto Erramun was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After having played for 36 minutes, Raul Eduino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arrecifes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raul Eduino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raul Eduino got free with Alejo Erdiano in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Raul Eduino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alejo Erdiano was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hermengildo Lehen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Raul Eduino scored 1-1 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alejo Erdiano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alejo Erdiano came out of the goal and Modesto Mikolas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Arrecifes's Dalmacio Honrio got a free kick in the 76th minute. Cleto Erramun acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 77th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Teo Orlondon. In the 78th match minute, Arrecifes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marciano Hartz to maneuver through the defense. 80 minutes into the match, Descamisados CF's goal looked a bit too open when Modesto Mikolas came free, but Alejo Erdiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Descamisados CF's goalkeeper Alejo Erdiano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alejo Erdiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Modesto Mikolas in the 89th minute of play. Evaristo Reyes charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Evaristo Reyes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cleto Erramun was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Descamisados CF eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
