A sloppy throw-in by Everardo Jerardo in the 27th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Marshrose's Aurèle Mélançon. Celso Manni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerold Hooper in the 41st minute of the match. In the 45th match minute, TZILACATZIN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingo Jaume to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bret Fry in the 49th minute of play forced TZILACATZIN's goalkeeper Celso Manni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Marshrose's Frances Tisserand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermengildo Abadia in the 62nd minute of play. In the 95th minute, Bret Fry reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Celso Manni. The goal made the score 0-5.
