Alonso Venturino came out of the goal and Alfredo Baez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to U. de Tarapacá getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Remi Baros hit a great ball. Alfredo Saralegui kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. If Alfredo Baez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Weston Daly's late challenge caught a U. de Tarapacá's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Weston Daly helped the player get up and apologised. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Rudy Trotter took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Alonso Venturino to make any attempt to save it. In the 45th minute Teofilo Hormazabal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sidney Keene saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Creekers defense, Norberto Juarez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sidney Keene. The Creekers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sidney Keene should have stopped the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfredo Baez to strike the kick off in the second half. José Alberto Alonso kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Rudy Trotter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by José Alberto Alonso from long distance, 58 minutes into the match, got Sidney Keene's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Sidney Keene made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teofilo Hormazabal in the 60th minute of play. Miren Guilisastis short, quick shot in the 62ndth minute got Sidney Keene to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Alec Harmon kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. U. de Tarapacá's José Alberto Alonso couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 67th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Creekers. Creekers's Sidney Keene played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teofilo Hormazabal in the 81st minute of play. Duke Carter took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alonso Venturino. Alonso Venturino dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-4. 91 minutes into the match, Creekers's goal looked a bit too open when Miren Guilisasti came free, but Sidney Keene reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 93 minutes into the game, José Alberto Alonso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U. de Tarapacá's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Creekers the free kick. The supporters of Creekers booed when U. de Tarapacá was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Alberto Alonso didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Alfredo Baez came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Creekers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredo Baez couldn't finish the play. After 95 played minutes U. de Tarapacá got a freekick which was hit by Remi Baros. After a defensive mix-up in Creekers's zone, Norberto Juarez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sidney Keene came out of the goal and Norberto Juarez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
