The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Arnoldo Tab kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. America De Cali's Rexino Arevalo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Ur in the 23rd minute of play. Javier Burutzagi hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Segundo Jaunti made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Danel Belluga sent off a good shot on target. Rexino Arevalo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denis Ur in the 28th minute of the match. America De Cali's Rexino Arevalo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eustaquio Jakobe in the 29th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Garaona Avina could shoot a difficult shot in the 31st minute, which Segundo Jaunti however easily saved by the left post. In the 32nd match minute, America De Cali was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastiano Machin to maneuver through the defense. Leo Padro was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 33rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Chap Olalla hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the 44th minute, America De Cali's Xosepe Viesca dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Eustaquio Jakobe made the kick off in the second half. Segundo Jaunti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Egoi Guete, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Xosepe Viesca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Segundo Jaunti having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garaona Avina in the 59th minute of play forced Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s goalkeeper Segundo Jaunti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Segundo Jaunti came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by America De Cali's Garaona Avina. But to his dismay, Garaona Avina quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 69th minute Egoi Guete shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Segundo Jaunti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rexino Arevalo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eustaquio Jakobe in the 74th minute of play. America De Cali's Rexino Arevalo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save America De Cali from getting a goal against them. The supporters of America De Cali booed when Atletas Campesinos F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horacio Lander didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leo Padro lost his temper 82 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Segundo Jaunti made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1.
