Through an outstanding action, after 8 minutes, Opah Gol successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Brian Laudrup might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Opah Gol. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Brian Laudrup ran back to his position shaking his head. Edward Wojton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Opah Gol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, REAL COHOLICS's Ivan Amaya sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Opah Gol narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan José Ferraro in the 29th minute of play forced REAL COHOLICS's goalkeeper Ramon Peralta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Despite this Opah Gol quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Florin Răducioiu kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juan José Ferraro in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ramon Peralta saved REAL COHOLICS from getting behind. Ramon Peralta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan José Ferraro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

In the 68th minute Brian Laudrup shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Opah Gol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 68 minutes, Baltazar Fornos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GuateFortín and the REAL COHOLICS players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of REAL COHOLICS booed when GuateFortín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baltazar Fornos didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, GuateFortín's Ramon Peralta threw himself towards the right post 75 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Juan José Ferraro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Opah Gol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florin Răducioiu in the 77th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brian Laudrup in the 81st minute of play forced GuateFortín's goalkeeper Opah Gol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivan Lozano hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Brian Laudrup in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Opah Gol prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Julio Asad hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. After having played for 87 minutes, Ivan Amaya managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. REAL COHOLICS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ivan Amaya was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Yu Zhi Yang blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Opah Gol having to make a save.
