Zarando Lastras came out of the goal and Virgilio Chepe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 13 minutes into the match, Atlético Maravilla's goalkeeper Zarando Lastras had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hector-Luis Palomar. Zarando Lastras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maarten Stubbe in the 15th minute of play. Zarando Lastras made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hector-Luis Palomar in the 20th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maarten Stubbe in the 22nd minute of play forced Atlético Maravilla's goalkeeper Zarando Lastras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by Atlético Maravilla's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Maarten Stubbe was slow to take the kick. During this time SuperFuerza TM's players had a chance to rest. The corner led SuperFuerza TM's Ximeno Castro to fire away a dangerous shot which Zarando Lastras despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 30th match minute, Atlético Maravilla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Honorato Arraz to maneuver through the defense. Zarando Lastras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgilio Chepe in the 32nd minute of play. Quentin Gonzalez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prospero Donzel having to interfere. With a little luck, Atlético Maravilla's Zarando Lastras got control of the ball when Hector-Luis Palomar tried to sneak it across the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Atlético Maravilla's goal looked a bit too open when Virgilio Chepe came free, but Zarando Lastras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leopoldo de Queiroz's late challenge caught a SuperFuerza TM's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leopoldo de Queiroz helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of SuperFuerza TM booed when Atlético Maravilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leopoldo de Queiroz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Virgilio Chepe in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zarando Lastras prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Atlético Maravilla's Dionisio Hidalgo got a free kick in the 44th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Virgilio Chepe made a kick off. Quentin Gonzalezs short, quick shot in the 51stth minute got Prospero Donzel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 53rd minute of the match Anders Söderlund sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Prospero Donzel skillfully saved the ball. In the 60th minute Maarten Stubbe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zarando Lastras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Atlético Maravilla getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Anders Söderlund hit a great ball. Zarando Lastras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector-Luis Palomar in the 62nd minute of play. Zarando Lastras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgilio Chepe in the 64th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Hector-Luis Palomar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zarando Lastras was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Zarando Lastras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hector-Luis Palomar in the 69th minute of the match. In the 70th minute of the match SuperFuerza TM got a corner. Atlético Maravilla's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Zhang Zhen Yin thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Zarando Lastras, a very annoying self made goal in the 70th minute which led to 1-0. Zarando Lastras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hector-Luis Palomar, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Prospero Donzel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Quentin Gonzalez in the 76th minute. 78 minutes into the match, Atlético Maravilla's goal looked a bit too open when Hector-Luis Palomar came free, but Zarando Lastras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hector-Luis Palomar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Zarando Lastras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SuperFuerza TM made a substitution. Sindo Landa replaced Virgilio Chepe. SuperFuerza TM's Prospero Donzel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save SuperFuerza TM from getting a goal against them. Valentin Wennerström hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Atlético Maravilla's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
