The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leonard Treppa in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cesareo Molina prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 7 minutes into the match, Atlético de Candamil's goal looked a bit too open when Leonard Treppa came free, but Cesareo Molina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cesareo Molina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonard Treppa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 10 minutes, Leonard Treppa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tirant lo Blanch's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonard Treppa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Atlético de Candamil getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Milton Labarra hit a great ball. Leonard Treppa scored 1-0 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cesareo Molina, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 19th minute, Leonard Treppa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cesareo Molina was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Leonard Treppa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cesareo Molina. That made the score 3-0 in the 29 minute of play. Cesareo Molina didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leonard Treppa went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonard Treppa in the 40th minute of play forced Atlético de Candamil's goalkeeper Cesareo Molina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

In the 58th minute Leonard Treppa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesareo Molina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atlético de Candamil made a substitution. Reimundo Viqueira replaced Rosalio Sauca. 92 minutes in the game Ladio Cartagena did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Pablo Novo. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carmen Paniagua in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cesareo Molina saved Atlético de Candamil from getting behind. In the 95th minute Carmen Paniagua shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesareo Molina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th minute of the match Tirant lo Blanch got a corner. Atlético de Candamil's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pitin Vallejo ran over to the corner to take the kick. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Tirant lo Blanch fans cheered their team off the field, for while Atlético de Candamil had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
