Lamine Jamal was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Tarragona 2006's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Andrés Figueroa was slow to take the kick. During this time Downchester City's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Downchester City's corner Andrés Figueroa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Domingo Colsa quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Morientes in the 17th minute of play forced Downchester City's goalkeeper Fumo Canuto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th match minute, FC Tarragona 2006 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Víctor Hernandez to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute, Jose Heredia made a precise shot to the right of Domingo Colsa. FC Tarragona 2006's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Fumo Canuto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Morientes in the 47th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jose Heredia was the one to do the kick off. Fumo Canuto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fernando Morientes's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. If Andrés Figueroa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Tarragona 2006 made a substitution. Quirze Vera replaced Frutos Bouzon. 64 minutes in the game Moi Samaniego did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Jose Heredia. Víctor Hernandez didn't quite understand what happened when in the 72 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Beila Marcilla who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 77thth minute tested the skills of Domingo Colsa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 80 minutes into the match, FC Tarragona 2006's goalkeeper Domingo Colsa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Beila Marcilla. Moi Samaniego kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Fumo Canuto came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Tarragona 2006's Ansu Fatić. But to his dismay, Ansu Fatić quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. 95 minutes into the game, Downchester City's Beila Marcilla nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Domingo Colsa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Downchester City eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
