The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Baltasar Matias didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Angelo Pessoa went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to VB-Team getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Arthur Guerra hit a great ball. David Bastos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gervásio Severiano in the 19th minute of the match. If Angelo Pessoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The attack was good, but when Gervásio Severiano in the 27th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 33rd match minute, VB-Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arthur Guerra to maneuver through the defense. João Osório, 33 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gervásio Severiano in the 35th minute of play forced AM United's goalkeeper David Bastos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the match, VB-Team's Shao Kun Yuan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that David Bastos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 41 minutes into the match, Angelo Pessoa notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of VB-Team's Baltasar Matias. Baltasar Matias was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of AM United booed when VB-Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arthur Guerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. 46 minutes into the match, VB-Team's goalkeeper Baltasar Matias had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Angelo Pessoa.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Angelo Pessoa made a kick off. 50 minutes into the match, VB-Team's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Pessoa came free, but Baltasar Matias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to AM United getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Adelino Palma hit a great ball. VB-Team's Yu Ke Hong was substituted for Arthur Guerra. AM United's David Bastos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save AM United from getting a goal against them. Joaquim de Barros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but David Bastos made a huge save. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind VB-Team's goalkeeper Baltasar Matias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, AM United's David Bastos got control of the ball when Luís Braga tried to sneak it across the goal line. Baltasar Matias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Pessoa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 78 minutes into the match, AM United's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim de Barros came free, but David Bastos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. João Osório lost his temper 80 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 81st minute, João Osório hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. VB-Team made a substitution. Luís Caeiro replaced Joaquim de Barros. In the 84th minute Mattias Jonasson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Bastos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Shao Kun Yuan hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. AM United's David Bastos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gervásio Severiano in the 95th minute of play. VB-Team's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because AM United had won, even though VB-Team had held more of the ball.
