Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) Damazy Joks started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Poland's goalkeeper Artur Boruc, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ireland were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after Poland's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lúcio da Silva took the corner. The corner ended in Lúcio da Silva almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Poland's Artur Boruc did a great save. Pawel Dawidowicz might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfred Hutton. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pawel Dawidowicz ran back to his position shaking his head. When Poland's Damazy Joks in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ireland's goalie prevented a goal. Alfred Hutton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damazy Joks in the 27th minute of the match. Poland were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after Ireland's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lech Pisarcik took the corner. Alfred Hutton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olgierd Literski in the 35th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olgierd Literski in the 35th minute of play forced Ireland's goalkeeper Alfred Hutton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ireland's Jerome Boateng quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Grzegorz Soszka, made in the 37th minute of the game. Grzegorz Soszka kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, Poland's Damazy Joks sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfred Hutton narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 44 minutes into the game, Poland's Damazy Joks nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfred Hutton made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Damazy Joks managed to get in a good position for a shot. Poland's supporters rose to their feet, but Damazy Joks was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfred Hutton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Poland were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Torrey Molloy was the one to do the kick off. Alfred Hutton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damazy Joks in the 56th minute of play. With a little luck, Ireland's Alfred Hutton got control of the ball when Zachariasz Sitko tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Ireland's Torrey Molloy in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Poland's goalie prevented a goal. Poland made a substitution. Roch Dejo replaced Pier Kopacz. In the 75th minute Ireland were awarded a corner. Arnold McDecland went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Arnold McDecland almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Poland's Artur Boruc did a great save. Alfred Hutton came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Poland's Marek Czech. But to his dismay, Marek Czech quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 81st play minute Marek Czech came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Alfred Hutton. 0-3. With a little luck, Ireland's Alfred Hutton got control of the ball when Lech Pisarcik tried to sneak it across the goal line. Poland's Artur Boruc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torrey Molloy in the 88th minute of play. Marek Czech's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfred Hutton read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. In the 95th minute, Ireland's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Marek Czech fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Poland played a much better game than Ireland and deserved their victory. The Ireland players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
