Atletico Salvador's Jose Campos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jhonnatan Velis in the 16th minute of play. A collision led to Atletico Salvador getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Carlos Braun hit a great ball. If Deris Rico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Rothwell United fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Rothwell United's Eliseo Anaya looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Rothwell United's Eliseo Anaya in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carmelo Umaña made a kick off. Carmelo Umaña sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The goalkeeper, Jose Campos, was totally fooled by Rothwell United's Wilber Vinosis, who 70 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 73rd minute, Jose Ribeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eliseo Anaya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 75th minute Deris Rico suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Rothwell United's Jhonnatan Velis got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 79 minutes, Eliseo Anaya managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rothwell United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseo Anaya was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jhonnatan Velis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eliseo Anaya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Jose Campos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jhonnatan Velis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Atletico Salvador's Jose Campos got control of the ball when Jhonnatan Velis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rothwell United's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
