Seating: 1695, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Paulino Quilo got the match started through his kick off. Jairo Damario struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Julian Omero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Taquimilán. The audience was convinced that Paulino Quilo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julian Omero was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. Guaberto Elequemedo hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 9th minute, Robustiano Bras sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Taquimilán's Cesar Gutxi didn't even have to move. After having played for 13 minutes, Serafin Seme managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ayacucho FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Serafin Seme was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cesar Gutxi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonzalo Ihazintu in the 17th minute of play. Gonzalo Ihazintu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Santiago Nerio's late challenge caught a Ayacucho FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Santiago Nerio helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ayacucho FC booed when Taquimilán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santiago Nerio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Paulino Quilo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Ayacucho FC's Julian Omero. Julian Omero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Jairo Damario managed to get in a good position for a shot. Taquimilán's supporters rose to their feet, but Jairo Damario was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julian Omero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Ayacucho FC defense, Paulino Quilo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julian Omero. The Ayacucho FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julian Omero should have stopped the shot. With his leg Cesar Gutxi managed to avoid a goal in the 46thth minute, when Ayacucho FC's Serafin Seme fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.
A collision led to Taquimilán getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Eustacio Mero hit a great ball. Taquimilán's Cesar Gutxi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafin Seme in the 60th minute of play. Paulino Quilo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Julian Omero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 64 minutes into the game, one of Ayacucho FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Jairo Damario who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 68thth minute tested the skills of Julian Omero when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Serafin Seme in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cesar Gutxi saved Taquimilán from getting behind. Ayacucho FC's Julian Omero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulino Quilo in the 77th minute of play. If Serafin Seme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicanor Botello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 92 minutes, Paulino Quilo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Taquimilán's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulino Quilo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Taquimilán's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
