Jacobo Benet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tadeo Rocio in the 4th minute of play. After having played for 5 minutes, Cesar Calisto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clodomira AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cesar Calisto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Cesar Calisto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cesar Calisto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Jacobo Benet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clodomira AFC's Santos Norino suffered a concussion in the 11th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Atilano Cordareo's late challenge caught a Clodomira AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Atilano Cordareo helped the player get up and apologised. Teobaldo Ourente, 13 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Bartolo Abaunza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st minute, Enrique Conrao hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartolo Abaunza in the 23rd minute of play forced Clodomira AFC's goalkeeper Angelino Lucero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute, Cesar Calisto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Angelino Lucero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartolo Abaunza in the 33rd minute of play. If Cesar Calisto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lucas Iratze kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Cesar Calisto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Benet having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Bartolo Abaunza made the kick off in the second half. Enrique Conrao scored 0-1 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jacobo Benet, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Enrique Conrao sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacobo Benet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cesar Calisto in the 65th minute. 67 minutes into the match, Rayos GDL's goalkeeper Jacobo Benet had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cesar Calisto. With a little luck, Rayos GDL's Jacobo Benet got control of the ball when Cesar Calisto tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Rayos GDL's Atilano Cordareo got a free kick in the 71st minute. Clodomira AFC's Angelino Lucero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartolo Abaunza in the 74th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Cesar Calisto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clodomira AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cesar Calisto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacobo Benet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 79 minutes of play Rayos GDL's Atilano Cordareo was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Rayos GDL getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Atilano Cordareo hit a great ball. Jonas Claus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Rayos GDL's Jacobo Benet got control of the ball when Cesar Calisto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Clodomira AFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
