But to his dismay, Iker Dei quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Grütly FC's Everardo Millrick proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Grütly FC from getting a goal against them. In the 11th minute Fulgencio Orkatz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Everardo Millrick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 12 minutes, Raimundo Fidele mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Astros de México CF and the Grütly FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Astros de México CF's Raimundo Fidele got a free kick in the 12th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Astros de México CF's Iker Dei slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Everardo Millrick. That made the score 2-0 after 14 minutes of play. The supporters of Grütly FC booed when Astros de México CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raimundo Fidele didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oscar Rik got free with Everardo Millrick in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 37th minute of the match, Donato Errolan got a very nice opportunity to score, but Everardo Millrick was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Grütly FC's Everardo Millrick proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Grütly FC from getting a goal against them. 40 minutes into the game, Astros de México CF's Iker Dei nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fulgencio Orkatz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Everardo Millrick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Errolan in the 51st minute of play. 53 minutes into the match, Grütly FC's goal looked a bit too open when Iker Dei came free, but Everardo Millrick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Everardo Millrick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Fidele in the 55th minute of the match. Delmar Abeita hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Grütly FC's Delmar Abeita got a free kick in the 57th minute.
