Astros fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ambrosio Frans was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Astros fc booed when TECATE FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santo Cerilo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Nastasio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Generoso Fidensio having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Nastasio in the 13th minute of play forced TECATE FC's goalkeeper Generoso Fidensio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. TECATE FC's Generoso Fidensio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ambrosio Frans in the 15th minute of play. If Fausto Ariando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Generoso Fidensio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ambrosio Frans in the 20th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Astros fc defense, Fausto Ariando kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Felipe Ferrer. The Astros fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Felipe Ferrer should have stopped the shot. Arturo Eutropio charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arturo Eutropio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fausto Ariando could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Felipe Ferrer made a huge save. In the 38th match minute, TECATE FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santo Cerilo to maneuver through the defense. Bernabe Alvarez shot a long shot in the 39th minute and a light blocked Generoso Fidensio hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 1-1. Felipe Ferrer made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Fausto Ariando sent off a good shot on target. 46 minutes into the match, Astros fc's goal looked a bit too open when Emiliano Orzaize came free, but Felipe Ferrer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
A collision led to Astros fc getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Damian Innocenzio hit a great ball. After having played for 52 minutes, Emiliano Orzaize managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. If Emiliano Orzaize had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute, Severiano Blasco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Nastasio struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Generoso Fidensio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Astros fc. Astros fc's Ambrosio Frans got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlos Nastasio had several of the TECATE FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 93 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-2 score and a disappointed Generoso Fidensio as he didn't even see the shot coming. Astros fc's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
