With a little luck, Sudbury AFC's Victor Murgas got control of the ball when Mariano Corrales tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 4th minute Adolfo Montes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Murgas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adolfo Montes in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Victor Murgas saved Sudbury AFC from getting behind. 10 minutes into the game, Adolfo Montes lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Victor Murgas. Pablo Cetino kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Adolfo Montes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atletico Pinares's supporters rose to their feet, but Adolfo Montes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victor Murgas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Atletico Pinares booed when Sudbury AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgardo Umanzor didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Sudbury AFC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Edgardo Umanzor hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Sudbury AFC's Mauro Guevara got a free kick in the 23rd minute. 24 minutes into the match, Sudbury AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Adolfo Montes came free, but Victor Murgas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Sudbury AFC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Edgardo Umanzor hit a great ball. When Adolfo Montes came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Atletico Pinares fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adolfo Montes couldn't finish the play. Mariano Corrales might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Victor Murgas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Corrales ran back to his position shaking his head. Adolfo Montes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Victor Murgas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Efren Espindola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yasir Figueroa during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Yasir Figueroa kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After 45 minutes, Angel Rivas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atletico Pinares and the Sudbury AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 45th minute, Angel Rivas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adolfo Montes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Adolfo Montes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mariano Corrales received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Victor Murgas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sudbury AFC's goalkeeper Victor Murgas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Atletico Pinares's Angel Rivas got a free kick in the 64th minute. Mariano Corrales might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Victor Murgas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Corrales ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adolfo Montes in the 70th managed to get into a good position. The supporters of Atletico Pinares booed when Sudbury AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauro Guevara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Victor Murgas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Corrales, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. If Adolfo Montes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 78 minutes into the match, Sudbury AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Corrales came free, but Victor Murgas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 79 minutes of play, Atletico Pinares's Adolfo Montes made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Victor Murgas was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Adolfo Montes in the 83rd minute of play forced Sudbury AFC's goalkeeper Victor Murgas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victor Murgas had in the 85thth minute some difficulties stopping Ronald Uranga's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 85 minutes into the game, Ronald Uranga cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Victor Murgas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Adolfo Montes scored 5-0 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Victor Murgas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mariano Corrales received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Victor Murgas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Atletico Pinares players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
